Inside the Ghost Realm

 "Helloooo There It's good to meet you"

"what do you want" James Black said as he wandered throughout the foggy, purplish-gray expanse of the ghost realm he saw what looked like ruined castles and towers along a the misty path "I assume you know who I am of course, Am I going to meet your king?" The ghosts had put some sort of chains on him

"Yes" A shadow figure answered "I hope you're not planning on leaving soon, The Ghost King hassss wanted to meet you for a lonnnng time"

"And who are you exactly?" James asked his captor. all he could see was a black cloak and some very Dark red hands, that looked more black than red. "It's unimportant to uss, Most Ghosts, Don't really havvve 'Namessss', but I am Vampyro One of the kings Wraiths" 

"Interesting, Never knew there was that much of a hierarchy in the ghost realm, where is the king?"

"You know nothing about us human! Be patient, we shall arrive sooooon" Vampyro replied as they approached a mountainous rock formation James could see some sort of  bright red glow from the top of it as well as some destroyed giant palace He felt him self levitate upward slowly. 'this is new, hopefully These ghosts don't drop me-hmm' And before he knew it he had blinked and was at the ghost kings doorstep. 'Here we are I guess, gotta find some way to get out of here'

"Hello there, You must be James Black, The Onyx Haze!" a voice cackled It was a crimson and dark blue ghost with a black claws and a thorny black crown, sitting on a spiky black throne. There was a similar thrones to his left, a bright blue ghost with a lightning like symbol was "levitating" on it. 

"Indeed, and you're the ghost king, what exactly do you want with me"

"I can't have you stopping me, what better way to get rid of you than trapping you here, and taking your powers, Without you in the way we can take over dimension"

"I WON'T LET YOU! You'll never get the daggers, I've made sure of that"

"Oh really. WHY is That?"

"Why d'you think you got me so easily those daggers aren't with me, You won't win."

"RAOAAAAHH" The ghost king bellowed a shrieking sound, as his threatening crimson aura seemed to create pressure on James, his knees felt weaker "No Matter, we'll find them sooner or laterI have ways of getting what I want" pausing briefly "I've grown quite fond of a man named Raide, I hear you knew each other, Maybe he can help me, I wouldn't have been able to capture you without his work"

"Leave him out of this! He's got nothing to do with this,"

"Oh but he does neither he just doesn't realize it. The next onyx haze'll show himself soon and i'll be waiting, get him out of my sight"

The ghosts agreed and dragged him down some stairs to what James could only describe as a replica of a medieval dungeon really going for the whole king and castle theme huh, did Marek know about something and not tell us? he thought for a second looking back, quickly glaring at the Ghost King taking a note once again of the ghost to his left, who looked concerned? (he couldn't make out the ghosts expression) who is that he pondered quickly but then thatr though was replaced by the desire to get out of here ASAP.

the morning of homecoming

8:00 AM

 Danny's journal

    Well Homecoming tonight. Ugh I needed a break really. Been having weird dreams, Kasey's been in them, I really don't understand it at all, I feel so bad I haven't told her I'm Onyx Haze, it's weird. Anyways going to Kate's house for a party before the dance, I was surprised she invited me, she's nice, not that I "like" like her but I'd say we're friends. Geez I haven't written in this thing for so long, never realized how busy I was anyway, gotta get ready, Tonight should be fun, write more tomorrow. Getting a haircut

9:00 AM

Raide Household. 

Kasey paced back and forth on the floor of her Cobalt blue bedroom, still half asleep as Adam called her. "Kate's having a party before, if you wanna go, she's invited us" 

"No thanks she yawned "still not in the mood, I just wanna go to the dance with you" she made her way   toward the bedroom door to go downstairs

"I understand" In reality he didn't really understand why she loathed Kate, her "girl drama" made no sense to him. "see you later then"

"Bye, see ya later" she chirped up a little as she hung up. 

    Kasey was relieved that Adam didn't linger on the call, she needed to get ready and she had been rudely awakened by a nightmare of that night at the lab.she kept seeing Danny in these ones nightmares too, she knew they weren't but they felt real like it was actually happening and she actually was being attacked again. She couldn't really tell anyone, except...of course, Danny, whom she blew off by ditching school, along with the rest of the table troop. She felt bad and really wanted to apologize, Adam said there'd been an aggressive argument between the two. She was glad her mom let her stay home, but she was feeling better now,  well by her standards. Her dad was supposed to be out of the hospital soon according to what her mother had said. She wondered if her dad would remember anything from that night. Can't think about that now, gotta get ready. She went out of her powder blue bedroom, and down the white wood staircase to the kitchen to get breakfast before prettying herself up to be presentable at her first Homecoming dance. Despite everything that'd happened recently she was excited!

Lane Manor

    "I'm off to work, big meeting, yes I know it's the weekend" Mr. Lane announced marching across the dining room in his dark gray suit and tan dress shoes, to give a hurried morning greeting to his family. "Have fun at the dance son, AND BEHAVE!, I'd better not hear anything" he remarked sternly. Both his parents were unhappy with his recent attitude, they thought that he was being too rebellious, Sam knew this, but didn't care as much as he probably should, since he'd always been this way. VIPER hadn't been revealed, he had a lead on Haze's identity (at least he thought so). Anyway, his parent's were the some of the richest and most important people in the city so he expected that no big repercussions would come from his "rebellious streak".

"Thanks dad, I understand" Mr. Lane patted his son on the shoulder as San was about to sit down to eat Breakfast, nodding in understanding. Then  kissed his wife in between a sip of her coffee. "Goodbye  dear, Keep an eye on our kid"

"Hah, Don't worry Hun, Get going. I'll have my eye on Samuel, I'm going to help him get ready for the dance. Have a good day"

"Thank you Em" he said as he walked toward the door followed by his personal attendant as he made his way to his Personal dark purple limo

"Well Sam" Mrs. Lane said finishing her breakfast "You're father and I are letting you go out to that party and that dance tonight, but that means you've I'm helping you get ready, you've got to look presentable, and we've gotta do something about your hair."

"Alllright" He sighed, as he stabbed a sausage patty with his fork. He was used to having to dress up and he understood he'd have to like he did for Formal VT conference dinners, or his mom's fashion shows and photoshoots. He enjoyed the parties, however he preferred to choose his own outfits for school, and outings with his friends such as tonight. His mother smiled in approval, and Sam continued his breakfast dreading the day's preparations. This is gonna be a long morning, but if no one finds the viper suit I'm good. he thought to himself. as he walked back up to his room to check his closet for the compartment in which he'd stashed away the suit. I really need a better place to hide my stuff 

Jays' household 10:00

Jason and his dad had just gotten back from a morning workout,"Good work today son" his dad said as they got home. Jason gave a wincing smile.

"Well look who's back, go hit the showers, breakfast is ready when you are" His mom called to them. Jason headed up to his room to put away his gym bag, and quickly looked on his tablet to see another message from Colin. He had almost forgot, it had been a while since they last contacted, but was glad to get a reply back.

I wanted to check in again-Sorry for a late reply. Activity at the base is ramping up VT sent in a new shipment of another shipment of bots to repair and test (Boy these things are complicated to repair they barley have any re, but powerful, no wonder they're selling them to the army) . Apparently, this shipment was supposed to be larger with some updates, but available units are "limited" according to the contractor and Sergeant McAllister. (Wouldn't know anything about that would you?). I heard from mom and Dad that you've got a dance coming up, Have fun, and let me know if you end up with a date bro.  If you need anything just let me know, and stay out of trouble

He was glad to hear from him, though he was surprised he'd talked to mom and dad before him, he pondered what he'd say in response as he got ready, He needed a shower, and some breakfast, He liked to run for fun, but cardio training with his army veteran dad always took a lot out of him. "Sheesh" he sighed "Well I've got stuff to do" he tapped the top of his doorframe and exited the room.

 Well another day of Bedrotting. Adam stopped by, I'm glad he did I missed him, needed someone to talk to. he told me Danny got in an argument with him, said he's just worried feels responsible for what happened.  Still deciding if I'm going to go to Homecoming or not, Adam Bought two tickets, and I need to get out of the house, but idk we'll see how I feel on Friday. 

Oh yeah, Went to the hospital today dad's the same, I wonder if he'll realize I used that armor, or that I do have powers. I hope that ghost king doesn't show up again.  The lab's currently closed, I guess I'll have to get it some other time when dad's better.

I'm tired and need something to eat.

Spirit week! 10/9/42

It was spirit week at Riverwood High, however it didn't really feel that way to Danny. While the week was busy and he was exciting, it seemed like everything was going on all at once. However he was preoccupied by what happened on Monday night. Walking into the lunchroom that day, he decided to ask about Kasey. At least Adam might know something he thought as he sat own at the usual table.

"Sam any news what VT's doing with the stuff from the lab that was destroyed"

"Not entirely sure, but I know they're gonna moving it to the old warehouse soon" Sam replied

danny thought for a second then gave a small nod.

a few minutes later Danny asked the one question that had been on his mind

"So anyone heard from Kasey lately"

"Give it a rest Danny, she's fine! just wants to be alone " Adam responded coldly

"Oh yeah, alone, and with you?"

"Ok, I don't know what your problem is trying to win her over, but I can take care of it, stop worrying about my girlfriend"

Now I think I understand why Kasey's always mad with Kate

"She's still my friend, and what happened on Monday was-scary, I'm trying to check on my friend"

"Oh yeah, you were there weren't you, and what exactly happened? 'cause she said you "dipped", and now HER DAD IS IN A COMA. do you understand how that's affecting her"

Danny was losing his cool "Yes I was there, not you, and I DID see what happened. Sure maybe I don;t know EXACTLY how she feels, but I've known her my almost whole life,  and I know how CLOSE her and her dad are. OH, also DID YOU FORGET MY DAD HAS BEEN MISSING FOR THE LAST TWO MONTHS! SO MAYBE I DO HAVE A PRETTY GOOD IDEA OF WHAT IT'S LIKE" He replied as he slammed his fist on the table, he felt strange burst of energy, creating a loud thud. Everyone at the table was speechless everyone was staring at him. 

"calm down you two" Kate said quietly she was really a little scared of what'd just happened, not expecting Danny to get so angry.

"Leave me alone" he scowled quietly as he got up grabbing his lunchbox and walked away and out of the lunchroom.

"I'm can't even deal with Danny on a good day, I'm not sticking around to hear him come back and complain " Sam said "If you need me I'll be over with the guys and Fallon" and strode away to a circular table across the lunchroom where his friends were.

Danny really wasn't sure where he was gong, he just needed to cool his head. What'd I do that for? I'm not trying to compete with Adam, I just know she doesn't really have anyone else who knows what happened. I don't have my daggers on me how'd I even punch the table that hard. He ended up at his locker to double check, his backpack and sighed. As he was walking back, he realized that the bell was about to ring and the lunchroom was letting out, he ended up making eye contact with Kate, who caught up with him.

"You were really fired up back there, anything you wanna talk about"

"I I don't know, I guess i'm just scared, and angry or something" he paused to figure out what to say "With everything that's happened in the last two months I guess I've just been so overwhelmed and now something similar is happening with Kasey, And I just feel like I should be doing something but Adam's right there isn't really much I can do."

"I see, you still haven't gotten over your dad's disappearance have you"

"I guess not really, everything's been moving so fast, I guess I never realized how much it's been impacting me"

"Well I gotta get to class, if you need to talk or anything, just let me know" turning back Kate added "Hey I'm having a party Saturday, before hoco, you can come if you want"

"maybe I will" he replied waving back at her as he headed to his next class

VIPER TECH HQ 12:00 PM

"So Silas, any footage or clues as to who these vigilantes are" Mr. Lane asked intently

"No, There's no footage, all we know is there's a girl, two guys, and that 'viper guy' who showed up when you left" 

"oh?"

"Yeah Nina and him came in for backup, she says he knew about the VT incident and the storage warehouse at the docks. why d'you care so much?"

"Because they're ruining my company, my work, and you have no leads, how can you have nothing!"

"They're just highschool kids, you're seriously going after them, do you seriously want to round up a bunch of highschoolers?" Silas replied angrily "you possibly just started an interdimesional war of some sort, but you care more about finding some vigilantes, all because they're 'bad for business'"

"yes! Exactly If you can't do your job i'll have someone else do it! Maybe i'll have to recruit some of my own vigilantes"

trying to change Lane's perspective Stone asked"And if your son is one of them, one of these vigilantes?"

"IF MY SON who's under 24/7 surveillance at home tried something I'd know. IF he somehow is then yes, I'd still want him gone, it's not different, and hed be defying me. I understand maybe you're playing a long game, but I'm going to make sure they get found sooner rather than later"
